Kirby Odor Clear Ultra qt
I've used Kirby shampoo for more than 40 years. I wouldn't use anything else. Put some shampoo in a spray bottle and use for spot cleaner. Even is you don't have a pet, order pet shampoo because it cleans better.
Spray it on spots and watch them disappear even without blotting or brushing. You don't need to rinse with water because it dries and vacuums out. Some tough stains may need several cleaning if they're older. I put the spray bottle on stream and soak any stains I get in my carpet. Sometimes I'll lightly brush the stain where the carpet fibers are longer. After soaking a stain/spill I just let it dry and vacuum later.
